You are very brave to be standing up like you are. Bless you in your journey and I pray that our voices will be heard. Thank you for taking a stand when so many don’t have the courage.

Hi Dawn. Just one of many following your story – your journey. I’m reminded of a line from “Heroes”: “We wait in Silence for these times, when Sense can be made… when Meaning’s existence comes into focus and our Purpose presents itself.” Be strong and of good courage, Dawn. May those you meet be touched and moved to act – to find their courage and make health care better for you and for all of us. Because, truth be told, it is the right thing to do – disease and injury can happen to any of us at any time. Sometimes we have to see it in somebody else before we realize the truth. Namaste.

If you and I entered an agreement that said:
I dawn agree to pay you Jim $1.00/month for the next 12 months.
I Jim agree in exchange for your payment to provide you a brain operation at specified hospitals if at anytime you need the operation.
Now you need the brain operation. But the hospitals that have agreed with me to provide services to people like you said they can’t do the operation because they aren’t qualified.
What would you have me to do?
You agreed and I agreed. But the brain operation you need didn’t exist when we signed the hospitals.
Would you expect me to pay for an agreement you signed?

Dawn, you are so brave. I want you to know that your journey is being followed not just in the US but abroad as well. I know many expats living here in Costa Rica who agree with what you are trying to do, who are following your journey, and who are standing behind you, even though you may not see our physical presence. Please know that we wish you success and a return to health. Your success will benefit not just you personally, it will be a foot in the door for others to stand up for their rights. As Lisa said above, your voice will turn into many voices.

    Dawn,
Thank you for standing up for yourself. In doing so you allow others to make thier pleas heard. It is my most sincere hope that you get overwhelmed with support and that change for the better is fostered because of your actions. Brightest Blessings to you.
